Best wishes for Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day should be special for all moms; new mothers who are doing the best they can, moms who do everything around the house, as well as matriarchs who are the backbone of the families they support. However, mothers who are going through divorces, as well as those who are dealing with custody issues are can be forgotten. If not forgotten, they may not receive the support and appreciation they should receive on such a special day.

In light of this, we offer a few helpful tips for moms who are dealing with family law issues.

Just keep going – Life is an exercise of constant adjustments. Life after divorce is no different; so when trouble comes during your divorce, just know that if you keep going, better times lie ahead.

Let it go – The most popular song from “Frozen” has a point to it. In order to move on with life, you have to be able to leave some things in the past. It may not be easy to put bitterness and pain aside, but imagine what you can gain when you do.

Be an adult –We may have said this before, but it is worth repeating. Petty bickering and playing tit-for-tat can be unproductive and costly during a divorce. Not only is it childish, it sets a bad example for the kids to follow.

Be cordial to your ex’s next – If you have children together, you and your ex will continue to have a relationship, but you will both move on to see and fall in love with other people. For the children’s sake, try to be cordial to your ex’s next love interest.
