Racheal H. Mastel

Racheal H. Mastel is a partner with Kainen Law Group, PLLC.  She is a Nevada Board Certified Specialist in Family Law and practices exclusively in the area of Family Law, representing parties in matters related to divorce, custody, child support and a myriad of other Family Law related issues.  Ms. Mastel has practiced extensively in all areas of Family Law practice to resolve contested cases through trial and by settlement. Ms. Mastel also handles Family Law Appeals.

Ms. Mastel graduated in 2005 from the University of Nevada-Reno, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a concentration in American Politics and Law, and received her Juris Doctorate in 2009 from the Washburn University School of Law with a Certification in Family Law. Upon graduation, she clerked  for the Chief Judge of the District Court, Family Court Department H, Judge T. Arthur Ritchie, before entering full time into the practice of Family Law, which she has done exclusively since 2010.

Ms. Mastel was responsible for the yearly update to the “Nuts and Bolts of Family Law” CLE materials (2010-2016), which provide Nevada attorneys with a primer on both relevant case law and procedure and is the co-author of many other CLE programs and educational materials, including past CLE materials for the Advanced Family Law CLE program regarding both Direct and Cross Examination during Trials, and CLE materials on deposition practice, expert witnesses and on children as witnesses. Ms. Mastel was recently appointed by the Nevada Supreme Court to the  Rules of Civil Procedure Committee, to conduct a major review and overhaul of all of the Nevada Rules of Civil Procedure as the representative of the Family Law Section on that Committee.

Ms. Mastel has been named a “Rising Star” in every issue of Super Lawyers Magazine since 2014, for the Mountain States Region, which includes Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Utah and Wyoming. Ms. Mastel also has extensive involvement with the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada and is regularly engaged in Pro Bono practice at both the District/Family Court and Appellate Court level through LACSN’s programs. Ms. Mastel was named the August 2015 Volunteer of the Month by LACSN and the Family Division of the 8th Judicial District Court.

Ms. Mastel is licensed to practice in Nevada and Kansas.
