I just finalized my divorce from my ex-husband and wanted to write a review about my experience with Katherine Provost, who was my attorney throughout the divorce process. I was referred to Katherine and Kainen Law group by my business attorney at one of the hardest times in my life, when I decided to divorce my husband of 8 years. In a fragile state, I had a very emotional consultation with Katherine and she basically set very clear expectations from the beginning on what would be happening in the days/months to come. As a business owner I was likely going to be the one paying my ex-husband money at the end of the divorce and ultimately I appreciated her honesty and transparency from the beginning. I filed in January and my divorce will be final this week after a settlement conference without going to trial, a very quick amount of time for a contested divorce. I never felt Katherine was out to get my money and I felt any and all of our communication was necessary and never a waste or drawn out. She is concise and to the point with her communication. I have learned a lot from the process and have Katherine to thank for much of that, she is a no-bull kind of lawyer and will put you in your place if you need to be.
