Divorce of Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher finally official

Couples in Nevada who are experiencing irreconcilable differences in their marriage may be interested to learn that this also happens to high-profile couples in other states. When there is absolutely no possibility that a situation will change, couples may agree that it is time to file for divorce and move on. Back in Nov. 2011, Demi Moore initially made public the fact that she intended to leave her husband, Ashton Kutcher.

This news followed reports that Kutcher had been unfaithful to Moore while he had previously been in San Diego. Although Kutcher denied these allegations, the 51-year-old Moore decided a few months later to end the marriage. She told the press that she held certain values very sacred. She added that it was with this in mind that she had opted to move on with her life.

For unknown reasons, it was the 35-year-old Kutcher and not Moore who eventually took the first step and set the wheels in motion by filing for divorce in Dec. 2012. He cited irreconcilable differences as the reason. Negotiations proved problematic and were rumored to be the reason for the process being delayed. Although the high-profile couple finally managed to reach an agreement on Oct. 31, 2013, Demi’s requirements regarding spousal support were not granted.

To officially put an end to the couple’s marriage of six years, Kutcher’s lawyer filed the documents on Nov. 26. Very often, couples going through a divorce struggle to agree on appropriate spousal support. In Nevada courts, these decisions are made on the merits of each individual case. Divorcing couples may want to avoid delaying the process and consider other options if they find it impossible to agree on the various aspects of the divorce.
