Celebrity divorce done with respect and dignity

Residents of Nevada have the option to end their marriage every day. This decision usually does not end up on the front page news, though. The divorces that typically get media attention are those of celebrities. With every detail being out in the open, it is always important to handle a divorce with caution and respect for the other party involved.

A recent celebrity divorce that has been circulating the headlines is between Jane Seymour and James Keach. It was apparently Seymour who filed the papers to end her 20-year marriage to Keach. Her reasoning behind filing for divorce was irreconcilable differences. In addition to the divorce, Seymour has requested full legal custody of their 17-year-old twin boys.

The two reportedly split up months ago, but did not want to announce it until legal negotiations were made for the terms of their divorce. The couple thought it best to have all issues worked out before catching the media’s attention. Their main goal in the divorce is to make sure their children and charities — like the Open Heart Foundation — are well taken care of. In the courtroom, Seymour reportedly asked the court not to order her to pay spousal support to her soon-to-be ex husband.

Some Nevada divorces can end on an unhappy note, but they do not have to. This celebrity couple has decided to handle the situation with respect and dignity. They have both openly stated that their desire after the divorce is mutual respect for each other so that they can successfully continue to raise their boys. It is clear that this couple is managing their divorce in the right way.
